Job Description
York School Department is seeking a reliable and safety-conscious Van Driver to join our transportation team! In this vital role youll be responsible for safely transporting students to and from school as well as to various school-sponsored events and activities. If you have a clean driving record and enjoy working with children we encourage you to :Safely operate a passenger van on scheduled routes and for special the well-being and safety of all student to all traffic laws and school district transportation policies and pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle and report any maintenance a clean and orderly effectively with students parents school staff and the transportation students with boarding and disembarking as all required training sessions and :High School Diploma or drivers license with a clean driving record (abstract required upon request).Prior experience driving a passenger van or similar vehicle to pass a comprehensive background checkExcellent communication and interpersonal professionalism and a commitment to student to work independently and as part of a be able to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds occasionally.
