Call it what you like but what were really after is someone to put the HOT into HOTEL.
When we opened the first Hotel Gotham in Manchester it was hailed as Europes sexiest hotel. Now Newcastle is next to feel the Gotham effect and were looking for someone who can help bring that same seductive sparkle to the bar scene in our newest location.
Hotel Gotham isnt just a hotel its a way of life. A vibe. A 5-star-studded theatrical vibrant stylish dramatic experience for both our guests and our cast. Yes our cast because we dont do staff; we do stars.
The Role:
As Assistant Bar Manager youll be right at the heart of the show helping to set the stage for a bar experience that oozes opulence flair and flair (yes we said that twice its that important). Working closely with our Bar Manager youll be the behind-the-scenes magician and front-of-house maestro ensuring every cocktail glass of wine and guest interaction is delivered with Gothams signature style.
Where Youll Be Based:
Gotham Newcastle set inside the beautifully restored Old Fire Station a 1930s Baroque Revival landmark. Its a bold elegant setting think grandeur with a Gotham twist.
The Bar:
A stylish destination in its own right. Our bar and restaurant evoke the decadence of a bygone era fused with contemporary charm. A moody plush space with quirky period details a locally sourced menu and a drinks selection that excites.
Youll Be Responsible For:
Supporting the Bar Manager in the daily running of the bar leading by example and inspiring your team to deliver unforgettable experiences.
Helping design and deliver creative standout drinks menus from classic cocktails to signature serves.
Training coaching and mentoring your team to Gotham-level excellence.
Upholding our rigorous standards of cleanliness service and presentation.
Being a champion of licensing laws food safety and allergen regulations safety and compliance are just as important as style.
Driving a culture of guest engagement we dont just serve drinks we create moments.
Promoting upselling and guest satisfaction with authenticity and flair.
Owning the vibe. Keeping it fresh. Keeping it Gotham.
Who You Are:
You have flair energy and a love for luxury hospitality.
Youve got experience in a high-end bar or restaurant environment.
Youre a natural leader with strong organisational skills and an eye for detail.
Youre confident with people passionate about drinks and always ready to go above and beyond.
You thrive on teamwork and love bringing the best out in others.
Youre flexible and ready to work a mix of days evenings and weekends hospitality doesnt wear a watch.
