Job Description:
We have an urgent need for a highly skilled and experienced Senior Network Engineer to join our client in Grand Forks ND. This is a 6-month contract to hire position. The ideal candidate will possess an active CCNP certification and have a strong background in network engineering Cisco routing and switching Palo Alto firewalls and Cisco ISE. This position requires the candidate to be a U.S. Citizen and work 5 days onsite.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design implement and manage complex network solutions to support organizational goals and objectives.
- Maintain and troubleshoot network infrastructure including Cisco routers switches and Palo Alto firewalls.
- Configure and manage Cisco Identity Services Engine (ISE) for network access control and policy enforcement.
- Perform network monitoring analysis and performance tuning to ensure optimal operation and reliability.
- Provide technical leadership and guidance to junior network engineers and IT staff.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of network solutions with other IT systems and applications.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive network documentation including diagrams configurations and standard operating procedures.
Required Skills and Experience:
- Active CCNP certification.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in network engineering.
- Extensive hands-on experience with Cisco routing and switching.
- Proficiency with Palo Alto firewall configuration and management.
- Strong knowledge of Cisco Identity Services Engine (ISE).
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with other network security technologies and protocols.
- Familiarity with network automation and scripting.
- Previous experience in a lead or senior network engineer role.
- ISP internet service provider experience.
