As a Family Physician on our team youll work alongside a collaborative group of physicians nurse practitioners and dedicated staff to deliver high-quality primary care - from acute needs to chronic conditions. You Will Need:
MD or DO with a specialty in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine
Current board certification from the American Board of Family Medicine American Osteopathic Board of Family Medicine American Board of Internal Medicine or American Osteopathic Board of Internal Medicine
Eligible for DEA registration and Qualified Alabama Controlled Substances Certificate
Eligible as a Physician Collaborator in Collaborative Practice Agreements
BLS certified
Knowledge of primary care HIV Hepatitis C and STI management or willingness to learn and understanding of HIPAA and dedication to patient confidentiality
Experience in developing educational programs and working in interdisciplinary teams
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and eClinicalWorks
Your Responsibilities:
Provide comprehensive primary care to adolescents and adults with occasional pediatric care including care LGBTQI health Hepatitis C HIV HIV prevention and STI testing/treatment
Perform and document HPI physical exams diagnostics referrals and evaluations including reviewing test results in a timely manner with appropriate follow-up
Document all patient encounters in EMR within 72 hours
Provide telemedicine as needed participate in after-hours on-call rotation and serve as daytime contact and travel to satellite clinics to deliver patient care as needed
Consult and refer complex patients to specialists as appropriate
Serve as collaborating physician per Alabama Board standards and complete related requirements
Lead daily huddles and patient care team meetings
Act as physician designee for medication vaccine and care programs
Meet quality documentation coding billing and patient engagement goals
Promote clinic services within the community
Participate in Quality Improvement Committee and QI/Peer Review activities
Educate staff patients and community on health conditions and prevention
Precept students and residents as needed
