We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Medical Surgical team. In this dynamic and fast-paced role you will plan coordinate and deliver high-quality patient-centered care while providing leadership and supervision to support staff. You will ensure that every patient receives care rooted in dignity respect and evidence-based practice.
Key Responsibilities:Plan coordinate and deliver quality compassionate care in accordance with professional nursing standards.
Supervise and provide guidance to LPNs PCAs Ortho Techs Unit Secretaries and other non-licensed staff.
Conduct comprehensive assessments upon admission and continuously throughout the patients stay-covering physical emotional nutritional and developmental needs.
Collaborate with patients families and the interdisciplinary team to develop and evaluate individualized care plans focused on optimal outcomes.
Delegate and assign care based on patient needs and team members competencies.
Maintain accurate documentation of assessments care delivery and care plan changes.
Provide detailed and effective hand-off communication during shift changes and participate in unit huddles.
Support performance improvement (PI) initiatives and actively contribute to quality and safety goals.
Adhere to and apply safety protocols in all aspects of patient care.
Active RN license with the Alabama Board of Nursing or a compact multi-state license (required or ability to obtain prior to start).
Minimum Associates Degree in Nursing; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) strongly preferred.
Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross (required).
At least 2 years of recent acute care experience preferably in a med-surg setting.
Experience in patient admissions discharges and monitoring.
Proficiency with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems.
Willingness to work all shifts as needed to support patient care.
Advanced Life Support (ALS) certification.
NCLEX completion.
For non-native English speakers: TOEFL IELTS or PTE required to demonstrate proficiency.
