Job Description

Job Title: Interventional Radiology Technician (Travel Role)
Department: Interventional Radiology
Location: Athena Medtech
Schedule: Monday to Friday 4 Days/Week 10-Hour Shifts 06:30 17:00
Hours per Week: 40 Hours
Employment Type: Contract/Travel Assignment

Position Summary

Athena Medtech is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Interventional Radiology Technician for a travel assignment within our Interventional Radiology department. The ideal candidate will bring at least 2 years of experience in a similar role and demonstrate proficiency in performing complex imaging procedures in a fast-paced clinical environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare examination rooms and equipment for radiological procedures.

  • Administer radiopharmaceuticals to patients in accordance with safety protocols.

  • Accurately position patients and imaging equipment while ensuring patient comfort and understanding of the procedure.

  • Operate imaging systems and input commands to capture high-quality diagnostic images.

  • Monitor patient condition throughout the procedure ensuring safety and minimizing radiation exposure.

  • Collaborate with physicians to interpret diagnostic images and update patient records accordingly.

  • Organize and prioritize daily schedules including emergency procedures when necessary.

Qualifications & Requirements
  • Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in Interventional Radiology.

  • Current certification as a Radiologic Technologist (ARRT preferred).

  • Experience as a traveling Interventional Radiology Technician is a plus.

  • Strong communication and patient care skills.

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a clinical team environment.

  • Up-to-date with all relevant clinical documentation and safety protocols.

  • Any additional compliance documentation required for travel roles
