Job Description
Job Title: CT Technologist (Travel Role)
Department: CT Scanner
Location: Athena Medtech
Schedule: Monday Friday 11:00 PM 7:30 AM 8-Hour Night Shifts
Total Hours: 40 Hours per Week
Employment Type: Contract/Travel Assignment
Athena Medtech is currently seeking a qualified CT Technologist to join our imaging department on the night shift. The ideal candidate will be experienced in operating CT scanning equipment and delivering high-quality diagnostic images while maintaining a patient-centered approach in a fast-paced clinical environment.
Key Responsibilities-
Operate CT equipment to perform diagnostic scans of internal organs soft tissues and bones.

Accurately position patients based on the imaging request and physician instructions.

Perform scanner warm-up sequences and routine maintenance to ensure optimal equipment performance.

Ensure proper sterilization of radiologic equipment to maintain a safe environment for patients and staff.

Administer contrast agents as needed and monitor patients for potential reactions.

Evaluate image quality and ensure all scans meet diagnostic standards before submitting to PACS.

Communicate effectively with patients to explain procedures and provide comfort and reassurance.

Collaborate closely with radiologists and healthcare providers to ensure accurate diagnosis and timely care delivery.

Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience as a CT Technologist.

ARRT (CT) certification required

Current BLS certification

Technical Skills:

Proficiency with CT imaging protocols and safety standards

Experience with PACS and EMR systems

Preferred Experience:

Previous travel/contract experience as a CT Technologist
