Job Description
Occupational Therapist Full-Time
Location: Ann Arbor Ypsilanti Plymouth Canton Northville and Novi MI
Department: Occupational Therapy
Employer: Athena Medtech
Schedule: Wednesday to Friday 8:00 AM 5:00 PM (Full-time 40 hours/week)
Contract Duration: Initial 6-week assignment with potential for extension
Travel Requirement: Local travel within Wayne and Washtenaw Counties
Weekends/Holidays: No weekends or holiday rotations at this time
System Access: EPIC
Athena Medtech is seeking a dedicated and experienced Occupational Therapist to join our team serving clients in the greater Ann Arbor and surrounding areas. This full-time role is ideal for a motivated professional committed to improving patient outcomes through personalized and evidence-based therapy interventions.
Key Responsibilities-
Perform comprehensive physical and psychological evaluations of clients.

Develop and implement customized treatment plans in collaboration with medical teams.

Assess clients home and work environments recommending necessary modifications.

Advise on and assist with the selection of adaptive equipment.

Design and lead physical rehabilitation programs to restore function and independence.

Educate family members and caregivers on therapeutic techniques and care routines.

Monitor evaluate and document client progress and treatment effectiveness.

Stay current with industry standards research and best practices to deliver high-quality care.

Minimum of 2 years of experience as an Occupational Therapist.

Registered Occupational Therapist with valid licensure in the state of Michigan.

Experience with travel or home health occupational therapy is a plus.

Proficient in the use of EPIC EMR system.

Strong communication assessment and critical thinking skills.

Must reside in or be willing to commute within Wayne and Washtenaw Counties.

Experience in both adult and geriatric therapy settings.

Comfort working independently in community or home-based environments.

Ability to adapt to a dynamic and patient-focused care model.
