Job Description
Registered Respiratory Therapist Full-Time Nights
Department: Respiratory Care
Employer: Athena Medtech
Schedule: 3x12-hour shifts 7:00 PM 7:30 AM Monday to Friday (36 hours/week)
Experience Required: Minimum of 2 years in an acute care hospital setting
Certifications Required: BLS ACLS NRP
Athena Medtech is seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) to join our Respiratory Care team. This full-time night-shift position is ideal for an experienced clinician who is confident in providing advanced respiratory care in an acute care hospital environment.
Key Responsibilities-
Assess patients to determine appropriate treatment plans and therapy frequencies based on clinical diagnoses.

Implement and monitor individualized respiratory care plans ensuring equipment functionality and treatment effectiveness.

Perform and evaluate advanced respiratory care modalities and respond to patient changes promptly.

Administer respiratory medications and monitor their effectiveness.

Accurately document and communicate patient condition and treatment progress to the healthcare team.

Educate patients and their families about respiratory conditions treatment goals and community resources.

Respond as a member of the code team to provide life-saving respiratory interventions during emergencies.

Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential required.

Minimum of 2 years of experience in an acute care hospital setting.

Valid BLS ACLS and NRP certifications.

Proficient in the use of ventilators BiPAP/CPAP nebulizer therapy and other advanced respiratory modalities.

Excellent critical thinking problem-solving and communication skills.

Experience in adult and neonatal critical care environments.

Familiarity with EPIC or similar electronic health record systems.

Ability to work effectively in high-pressure team-based clinical environments
