Starting Pay:$23.31/hr.
(The salary upon hire is $23.31 per hour and will increase to $24.83 after six months of satisfactory performance.)
Positions in this classification typically perform a variety of duties at a level of complexity represented by the following types of responsibilities:
Minimum Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED six (6) months of general facilities and grounds maintenance experience and experience that has demonstrated dependability and proficiency in working independently or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Salary Range: The salary range for this position is $23.31 - $33.58 per hour. The salary upon hire is $23.31per hour and will increase to $24.83 after six months of satisfactory performance.
Benefits: Full-time employees receive a benefits package including subsidized medical insurance and fully paid dental insurance for employee and dependents as well as short-term disability insurance and life insurance. This position participates in the Washington State Public Employees Retirement Plan with the option of participating in a state administered deferred compensation plan. Employees receive a general leave accrual rate of 6.7693 hours per pay period and 11 holidays for which pay is pro-rated based on the number of hours worked per pay period up to a maximum of 80 hours per pay period.
Kitsap Transit also provides employees and certain dependents with a free transportation pass on Kitsap Transit buses and ferries.
Hours of Work: Work is conducted between the hours of operation for Facilities Maintenance which currently is Monday Saturday from 7:00 am 3:00 pm. Shifts will be assigned based on seniority and/or business needs.
