Founded in 1968 to meet the post-secondary and continuing education needs of Cecil County residents Cecil College has been serving the community and shaping its future for more than 50 years. The College is governed by a Board of Trustees appointed by the governor. The Colleges fifth president Dr. Mary Way Bolt reports directly to the Board of Trustees.

Cecil College is centrally located in Marylands most northeastern county just one half mile from Interstate 95. It is easily accessible from Philadelphia and Baltimore as well as from Wilmington Delaware.

With a diverse student population Cecil College enrolls approximately 2500 credit students and 3400 non-credit students. Cecil offers associate degrees certificate programs and non-credit classes. Cecil offers a variety of associate degree and certificate programs.

Employees of Cecil College including instructors for online and virtual courses must be residents of Maryland or the contiguous states of Delaware Pennsylvania Virginia West Virginia or the District of Columbia.

General Duties:

Adjunct needed for 2025 Summer Chemistry class which will be held on Monday through Thursdays from 6-9 pm.

• The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting classes in accordance with Cecil College approved syllabi and the stipulations of the department. The successful candidate will also be responsible for meeting every scheduled class including the final examination for the full number of scheduled minutes in the room assigned. Any changes in meeting place or time must be reported to the Office of Academic Programs prior to the class meeting.
  

Requirements:

• Masters degree in related discipline. 2. Only completed applications (resume letter of application and unofficial transcripts) will receive consideration. Only applicants who are authorized to work in the United States will be eligible for hire. • Prior teaching experience in college/university setting in the related field.
• Strong communication organization interpersonal problem-solving and counseling skills.
• Current knowledge and skill in the use of information and computer technology (e.g. word processing e-mail database) or proven ability to learn these skills.
• Able to work with students with special needs based on the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA).
• Able to work independently and coordinate work with colleagues and peers.

The Fiscal Year 2025 Credit Adjunct Scale is as follows: 2 semesters of less at Cecil ($820 a credit hour forindividuals with less than a Masters60 or $845 a credit hour for individuals Masters60 or a Earned Doctorate);More than 2 semesters at Cecil ($845 a credit hour for individuals with less than a Masters60 or $870 a credit hour for individuals Masters60 or a Earned Doctorate)
