Fairfield Inn & Suites Austin San Marcos is seeking an experienced guest-focused Front Desk Manager to lead our front office team and ensure exceptional service is delivered at every guest interaction. This position plays a key role in creating a welcoming atmosphere and driving guest satisfaction while also managing the daily operations of the front desk with efficiency and professionalism.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and support all front desk staff including scheduling training coaching and performance management.
- Ensure a smooth and efficient check-in/check-out process for guests.
- Resolve guest concerns promptly professionally and effectively.
- Maintain a high standard of customer service in line with Marriott brand expectations.
- Monitor room availability rate strategies and assist in maximizing occupancy and revenue.
- Coordinate with housekeeping and maintenance departments to ensure seamless guest experiences.
- Manage the front desks financial operations including handling cash billing and reporting.
- Ensure compliance with hotel policies safety standards and Marriott procedures.
- Lead by example in upholding a positive and professional work environment.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Associates or Bachelors degree in hospitality or related field preferred.
- Minimum 23 years of hotel front desk experience with at least 1 year in a supervisory or managerial role.
- Familiarity with Marriott systems (e.g. MARSHA FOSSE LightSpeed) is highly preferred.
- Strong leadership communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to work flexible hours including evenings weekends and holidays.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and hotel property management systems.
- A genuine passion for guest service and hospitality excellence.
