Nearly all disease will become treatable in our lifetimes and drug discovery is quickly becoming an engineering discipline. Mandolin is building the last-mile delivery infrastructure that gets cutting-edge biologics cell and gene therapies to patients faster. Why we need you
Our models can already shoulder most clerical work but closing the final gap to full autopilot hinges on faster iteration: better data curation tighter eval loops and high-leverage engineering around SOTA models. Thats where you come in. Partnering with a senior ML lead youll expand datasets run experiments and productionize wins that ship to clinics in weeksnot quarters.
What youll do
Own data pipelines collect clean and label data; automate preprocessing and quality checks.
Run experiments write training scripts launch hyper-parameter sweeps and benchmark new ideas against baselines.
Harden model code add unit tests integration tests and CI hooks that keep regressions out of prod.
Monitor in production build dashboards and alerts for drift latency and accuracy drops.
Drive iteration present findings propose the next sprint of model or data improvements and help turn them into live deployments.
Must-have experience
03 years of hands-on ML work (internships research or industry).
Strong Python plus PyTorch or TensorFlow fundamentals.
Familiarity with experiment-tracking tools (Weights & Biases MLflow etc.).
Ability to read recent papers reproduce results and articulate trade-offs.
Bias to action and excitement about seeing your code in front of real users quickly.
Nice-to-haves
Kaggle medals open-source ML contributions or peer-reviewed publications.
Exposure to LLM fine-tuning vector search or document-understanding tasks.
Experience with cloud ML services (Vertex AI SageMaker etc.).
