Oklahoma Christian University invites applications for adjunct faculty positionsin several disciplines and assignments to courses for delivery through variousmodalities including on-campus and online. Required qualifications vary fromdepartment to department but a discipline-related masters degree or acombination of education and relevant professional experience are generallyrequired. Candidates with terminal degrees and other specialized training arealso highly desired. Specific requirements can be found in each adjunct job post. Adjunct appointments are part-time (typically one or two courses) and madeon a semester-by-semester basis but often result in recurring assignmentswithin a regular course rotation. Adjunct openings frequently occur with shortnotice so the Oklahoma Christian Human Resources office accepts adjunctapplications at all times. This is an on-campus in-person position. Primary Qualifications: - Masters degree required; Ed.D./Ph.D. in Education is preferred. ABD candidates will be considered. Teaching certificate.
- Experienced teaching in K-12 schools.
- Student-Centered (Constructivist) teaching philosophy.
- Demonstrate a commitment to diversity and the ability to communicate and positively engage students and colleagues across racial gender and cultural barriers.
- A successful candidate must be an active member of a local Church.
Primary Responsibilities: - Set up a course in Blackboard.
- Modify and post the course syllabus.
- Teach courses.
- Grade student work and provide feedback. Post final grades.
- Regularly communicate with students.
