PROGRAM ADMINISTRATOR MIT Introduction to Technology Engineering and Science (MITES) Summer Program will be part of a six-week residential summer enrichment program that exposes 65 rising high school seniors from across the country to science and engineering fields while supporting their highest academic potential; and oversee daily operations and lead a collaborative implementation team to ensure the success of the program. Responsibilities include supervising and directing MITES full-time and temporary program staff as well as consultants who support MITES programs; leading logistics program planning hiring and training of over 40 staff members program evaluation student recruitment and selection communicating and engaging with program stakeholders such as parents students vendors and donors.
Job Requirements
REQUIRED: Bachelors degree in science engineering or education and a minimum of three years of relevant experience in education program development or coordination; exceptional organizational attention to detail analytical project management and problem-solving skills; leadership and facilitation skills; written and interpersonal communication skills (Spanish a plus); proven track record of fostering community belonging and respect in workplaces and academic settings; and experienced with high school students and leading undergraduates graduate students and professionals. PREFERRED: Masters degree or equivalent; a minimum of one year managing program staff and direct reports. Job #24954-8
This role requires on-campus residency during the summer programming (7 weeks) and strict adherence to MIT policies related to working with minors.
