We are excited to welcome you to District 5-0 as a Transportation Construction Inspector Supervisor where you will be essential in supervising an inspection team in the field as an assistant to the assistant district materials manager. You will perform a variety of technical duties in the inspection of materials produced at asphalt concrete and aggregate plants to ensure materials are in accordance with specifications contract documents and approved quality control plans. In this role you will supervise Transportation Construction Inspectors responsible for evaluating materials and workmanship on road and bridge construction projects. Your duties will include supervising all aspects of inspecting sampling testing and managing materials such as asphalt concrete portland cement concrete aggregates anti-skid salt and liquid asphalt used in construction and maintenance. You will also be tasked with documenting inspection and testing procedures and their outcomes. Additionally you will investigate any rejected materials and significant quality assurance deviations preparing reports and action plans to address these issues. This position requires you to exercise independent judgment to make technical decisions on-site.
