Successful completion of military BMET training. (Required)
5 years related work experience (preferably in a hospital setting) with an Associates degree or a BMET. (Required) or
7 years related work experience (preferably in a hospital setting) (Required)
Valid drivers license with acceptable driving record. Upon Hire (Required) And
Completion of Network Foundation Course within 2 years (Required) And
IT-ILC - IT Infrastructure Library Certification within 2 years (Preferred) And
Certified Biomedical Equipment Technician (CBET) Certified Laboratory Equipment Specialist (CLES) or Certified Radiology Equipment Specialist (CRES). Upon Hire (Preferred)
What You Will Do
The Biomedical Equipment Technician III (BMET III) installs inspects troubleshoots repairs calibrates and verifies the performance of highly complex biomedical equipment and systems with minimal supervision. This role requires the technician to serve as an advisor to administrative medical and clinical staff regarding the safe use and operation of clinical equipment and to provide input on equipment specifications during the acquisition process. The BMET III also mentors junior staff and contributes to department improvement initiatives. The individual must uphold HTM core values demonstrating integrity respect for all people and the ability to initiate meaningful change.
Conduct Inspections and Preventive Maintenance (IPM) safety inspections (ESI) and operation verification procedures (OVP) on highly complex healthcare technology (biomedical equipment) and systems
Perform and manage the including but not limited to assembly installation adjustment and testing as well as addressing the risk of cybersecurity and updating of intricate biomedical equipment and systems
Inform leads of the status of repairs scheduled inspections unusual equipment situations and any customer concerns
Collaborate and support customers in clinical and non-clinical environments providing timely and professional communication to support patient safety business operations and agreements
Collaborate with subcontractors vendors and service technicians to ensure complete documentation and proper service delivery
Grow and maintain professional relationships with clinical and non-clinical staff patients and visitors and external contributors and partners
Perform periodic validation of current inventory
Perform the security analysis for new equipment and on a periodic basis thereafter
Perform Incoming Inspections (II) to maintain a complete and accurate inventory of medical devices including trial and evaluation rental and loaner equipment in addition to permanently assigned equipment inventory

Work hours: Full Time Days Monday through Friday (7:30am-4:00pm) for 40 hrs/week.
