Job Description
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in GIS Geography Cartography Computer Science or other related fields
- 8 years of experience performing GIS and related development for law enforcement immigration and/or border security applications
- immigration and/or border security applications Experience in GIS concepts computer graphics fundamentals and relational database fundamentals and concepts is essential.
- Must have experience in the development of complex analysis and mapping projects.
- Must be proficient in the coding of software and manipulating digital databases as well as using GIS programming languages Internet markup languages and other pertinent technologies.
- Must have the ability to communicate technical information to non-technical computer users both orally and in writing.
- Desired to have experience with supporting software including SharePoint and Microsoft PowerApps.
Duties:
- Staff in this category work independently to develop GIS tools and applications perform complex analyses and develop multi- layered maps accomplished by using an appropriate combination of tools found in the GIS application suite and other programming environments.
- Design and implement data conversion procedures and perform software and database quality control.
- Work closely with the GIS user community to determine specific application requirements and specifications.
- Perform project planning requirements analysis database design and development and quality assurance and quality control.
- Support Sharepoint development and geospatial integration between Microsoft Power Apps and geospatial system and software.
