Engineering - Electrical
Description
The Engineering Technician supports a wide range of electrical engineering projects by collecting analyzing and interpreting data to provide actionable insights that drive decision-making and project performance.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Perform all functions relating to overhead design in the distribution and comm spaces
- Develop assembly methods and material lists
- Perform detailed calculations to compute and establish manufacturing construction and installation standards and specifications
- Produces complete PLS-CADD based designs
- Acquire review and submit federal state and local permits
- Adhere to client specific electrical distribution standards procedures and requirements
- Apply correct design standards codes and requirements
- Coordinate underground and overhead design for riser re-locates
- Identify and verify existing underground and overhead utilities
- Visit job sites client offices municipalities and other agencies as needed
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Mathematics Physics Computer Science or a related field is preferred but not required
- 1-2 years of experience in data analysis preferably within an engineering construction or consulting environment is preferred but not required
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to translate data findings into actionable insights for diverse audiences
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Self-motivated and driven to complete work with minimalsupervision
- Initiative to lookfor new challenges and opportunities
- Organized and detailed oriented
- Ability to learn quickly from reading and oral instructions
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel Word Outlook).
