Job Description

Contract Delivery Officer (EICR)

Didsbury Manchester

Permanent Full time

35 hours per week

Supporting the Strategic Electrical Manager and Technical Electrical Officer you will be responsible for supporting delivery of contract activity ensuring projects and contracts are delivered on time within budget and to the appropriate quality standard. You will be required to liaise directly with key stakeholders within Great Places as well as contractors and consultants to ensure successful Electrical Safety (EICR) programme delivery.

What you will be doing

  • Delivering the framework for effective contract management for overseeing customer safety contract activity achieving high levels of compliance with legislative and statutory obligations through delivery of our policies and procedures.
  • Be responsible for the management of external contractors and consultants including accompanying site visits running regular performance meetings managing performance against KPIs and managing any issues as they arise to ensure the smooth operation and delivery of our management plans to achieve our policy requirements.
  • Embed our policies and management plans across the organisation with contractors and third-party managing agents to ensure consistent levels of performance and assurance through.
  • Ensure suitable monitoring of activity performance and customer satisfaction to inform contract management decisions.
  • Supporting the specification procurement and delivery of new contractors.
  • Positive customer engagement across the customer safety workstream
  • Ensure suitable reports are in place and provide analysis and observations in support of delivering the contracts.
  • Manage the contract budgets providing monthly confirmation of spend and relevant commentary alongside forecasting detail on anticipated spend and contribute to the process of achieving value for money and efficiency.
  • Represent Great Places at stakeholder meetings.
  • Attend site visits for new acquisitions and as part of familiarisation of our more complex buildings.
  • Support our tenant services teams to ensure high levels of operational safety by providing access to performance and activity information and supporting the development of complimentary process.

What you will need

  • Experience of contract management and contract delivery
  • Experience working in a property and / or compliance field with strong technical knowledge
  • Ideally experience of working in a social housing / housing maintenance environment
  • Ideally technical knowledge of electrical safety standards and experience working within an electrical compliance field.
  • Understanding of compliance contracts in regard to the Big 6 compliance themes
  • A good knowledge of IT and systems.
  • Build and sustain working relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced work environment and manage multiple activities and priorities to a deadline.
  • Customer focussed with track record of high customer satisfaction
  • Strong leadership and track record of people management
  • Willingness to take on new responsibilities and a desire to develop new skills
  • Strong customer focus
  • Full driving licence and access to your own vehicle
