About Dioxycle
Dioxycle is pioneering breakthrough carbon utilization technologies that convert industrial emissions into sustainable chemicals with unprecedented energy and cost efficiency. By displacing fossil fuels for the production of key chemicals Dioxycle has the potential to ultimately reduce over 800 million tons of CO2 per year representing over 2% of the worlds emissions.
At the core of our process is a novel carbon electrolyzer a machine capable of using just electricity and water to convert carbon emissions back into valuable everyday essential chemicals. Our team is innovating across chemical mechanical and system engineering to turn carbon transformation into an economically feasible industrial reality through this completely novel technological approach. Having completed our medium-scale Proof-of-Concept electrolyzer we are now working towards a first-of-its-kind large-scale industrial prototype and are assembling key partnerships for future commercial roll-out.
We are supported by world-class funders including Lowercarbon Capital Breakthrough Energy Ventures and Gigascale Capital and have raised $37M to date. We operate from two centers in Paris and California (so whether you are passionate about outdoors or good food/art scenes we have a location for you to join!)
Your Mission
Dioxycle is seeking a dynamic Senior Electrochemist to join our team at this pivotal phase of transition from R&D to industrial piloting. We are seeking an enthusiastic hard-working and technically adept individual who is excited about using their energy to foster innovation in electrolysis and have a tangible impact on global emissions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Contribute to experimental plans to deepen understanding of and unlock improvements in electrolyzer performance
- Conduct hands-on experimental work and analysis: documentation post-processing and interpretation of electrolyzer performance
- Improve electrode design and equipment efficiency
- Document technical processes maintain detailed maintenance logs and analyze equipment performance data.
- Pilot & contribute to R&D-wide initiatives such as improving maintenance strategies to improve laboratory operations and improve quality control and testing processes
- Actively foster a culture of safety in the lab
Location: Onsite in Paris France
Qualifications:
To be fully comfortable with the job you have a PhD or equivalent industry experience in electrochemistry.

Skillset we are looking for
- PhD and/or industry experience in electrochemistry
- Experience working in a lab/ industrial setting (including up to 2-4 years of work experience in a research lab or in industry)
- Background in electrochemistry is a plus but not a requirement
- Background in engineering is a plus but not a requirement
- Reliable action-oriented hard-working and low-ego
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills and a systematic approach to tasks and documentation.
- Comfortable dealing with international and diverse teams
- Passion for scaling climate solutions commitment to take action and strong work ethic
