Pavion and our family of companies are seeking a talented and motivated BDA DAS Designer to join our security business unit.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Design systems to build specifications for best performance
- Perform system testing troubleshooting and maintenance to ensure the best performance of BDA/DAS systems
- Conduct site surveys and signal strength assessments to figure out the need for amplification systems
- Interpret blueprints and work closely with construction teams to implement BDA systems in new or existing buildings
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations including NFPA (National Fire Protection Association) and FCC (Federal Communications Commission) codes
- High school diploma
- 2 years of experience working with bidirectional amplifiers distributed antenna systems (DAS) or related RF communication systems.
- NICET IBPS-1 certification
- NICET IBPS-2 Certification
- NICET-Design certification or ability to reach in 1 year
- Strong knowledge of RF technology cellular communication systems and signal amplification equipment
- Proficient with RF testing and analysis tools such as spectrum analyzers signal meters and sweep test equipment
- Ability to design solutions to a multitude of building environments
- Strong critical thinking skills with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues
- Effective communication and teamwork skills to collaborate with other technicians engineers and project managers
