As a Drug and Alcohol Treatment Specialist 1 you will provideprofessional casework and counseling services to substance abusing and dependent inmates. You will participate in beginning level professional care by preparing individualized treatment and recovery plans. You will also supervise individual treatment sessions facilitate group therapy and utilize progressive disciplinary measures to address inmate behavioral deficiencies. This role requires demonstrated understanding of the techniques used to rehabilitate inmates combined with a genuine desire to promote positive cognitive and behavioral changes that will enhance successful reentry into the community. In addition you will attend training to develop and maintain position skills participate in treatment team meetings and complete discharge summaries classification summaries and parole summaries.
