Are you passionate about food safety quality and continuous improvement

Were working with a well-established food manufacturer in Malton who are looking to add a Quality Assurance Technologist to their team. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a growing business under new leadership where youll play a hands-on role in improving product standards and helping shape a positive site culture.

As a Quality Assurance Technologist youll work closely with the production team to ensure that everything leaving the site meets the highest standards of food safety and quality. Youll carry out daily checks support audits monitor manufacturing practices and help embed a proactive approach to quality across the site.

Responsibilities of the Quality Assurance Technologist:

  • Carrying out regular line checks audits and calibrations across production

  • Monitoring product weights temperatures and standards against specifications

  • Recording and investigating non-conformances and taking corrective action

  • Supporting quality assessments taste panels and traceability exercises

  • Performing hygiene and equipment checks and reporting issues to management

  • Collaborating with teams to embed a positive quality-first culture

As a Quality Assurance Technologist you need to have:

  • 12 years experience in a Quality Assurance role (ideally in food manufacturing)

  • Strong attention to detail and confidence using your initiative

  • Good communication skills and a proactive adaptable approach

  • Experience using Microsoft Office and quality documentation

  • Food Safety Level 2 qualification (preferred training can be provided)

  • Starting pay of 14.00 per hour increasing to 15.00 after probation

  • Permanent full-time hours: Monday to Friday 8am 4pm
