Dominican University of California is seeking to hire part-time adjunct professor(s) with expertise in science. The Department of Natural Sciences and Mathematics invites applicants to teach undergraduate and graduate courses in both the biological and physical sciences. We are looking for outstanding lecturers who can teach small and large lecture courses as well as seminars discussions and laboratory classes.
The number of positions varies from semester to semester depending on the needs of the department. Typically positions start in August or January with the possibility of renewal based on departmental needs funding and performance.
Potential teaching areas include anatomy organismal biology molecular biology ecology genetics general chemistry physiology organic chemistry public health quantitative science and some specialty areas of science. A PhD in biology chemistry kinesiology public health or a related scientific field is strongly recommended. However an MS in one of these areas with relevant teaching experience will also be considered.
Candidates should demonstrate an awareness of student needs through inclusive course materials and teaching strategies.
