Job Description
What you will do
Responsible for successfully leading large complex global engineering projects in the SAP Basis area to include life-cycle upgrades and refreshes. Lead interaction with SAP COE Platform Management Solution Delivery Infrastructure Security to deliver projects in accordance with budget and timeline.
How you will do it
With minimal supervision lead large and complex global SAP COE platform and Deployment projects within the SAP Basis platform group.
Develop and deliver architectural concepts for complex systems.
Develop and implement new infrastructure technology standards in coordination with Enterprise Architecture.
Provide technical guidance and leadership to engineers and support analysts.
Aggressively seek solutions to obstacles.
What we look for
Ensure the adherence to JCI infrastructure architecture standards including obtaining formal sign-off of architecture at the defined review points across the PRISM methodology.
Provide input to Platform Management and Infrastructure Architecture regarding existing and new technologies; propose changes to architecture standards and technology roadmaps.
Lead the implementation and adoption of new technologies into the SAP COE environments
Deep knowledge of SAP Basis: Technical Planning Installations and Configurations (SAP S/4 HANABW4HANA FIORI SLT SOLMAN...) Upgrades OS/DB Migrations Unicode Conversions for SAP NetWeaver platform SSO configuration installation of SSL certificates
Lead and participate in the BTP and AI initiatives in the SAP COE
Mastery of the HANA knowledge including High Availability and Disaster Recovery
Responsibilities includes configuring monitoring tuning and troubleshooting the SAP technical environment on an ongoing basis as well as scheduling and executing the SAP transport system
Install SAP systems and related software (e.g. database) including upgrades preventative and corrective maintenance through the change management process and within scheduled maintenance windows.
Administer and configure SAP systems for all JCI enterprise data centers.
Experience with High Available SAP systems is preferred.
Experience with managing complex business and technical relationships within and outside SAP COE .
Experience leading by example in a large complex global environment
SAP BASIS SAP HANA and S/4 HANA Migrationexperience including 2 years in Public or Private cloud (AZURE or GCP)
Experience with SAP ASE MSSQL and HANA DB upgrades and patching
Monitor vendors support facilities for software updates and implement/recommend maintenance to keep systems current and well within vendors support requirements.
Provide for system continuity by developing backup and recovery processes and procedures to support recovery from hardware and application failures.
Develop Disaster Recovery plans procedures and test scenarios and provide technical guidance at regular DR rehearsals.
Develop and maintain SOX procedures for implementation by Service Delivery
Apply security policies to the SAP systems as determined by the IT Security group.
Provide level III incident and problem management responsible for resolution and root cause analysis of the most complex SAP Basis and database issues within established Operating Level Agreements.
Interface and coordinate with business and application support teams Global Infrastructure Architecture and Service Delivery functions.
Maintain knowledge of the latest developments impacting the SAP Basis Platform environment and makes recommendations that will improve efficiency throughput capabilities and/or capacity.
Provide effective technical documentation to clearly communicate procedures and developments to Service Delivery.
Demonstrate exceptional customer service attitude and work ethic.
Adheres to the Companys Ethics standards and Leader Expectations.
Requirements
Minimum 15 years of strong hands on SAP Basis Platform experience
4-year University degree in Computer Science Computer Information Systems or equivalent
similar appropriate education and commensurate work experience
Excellent communication skills and proficiency in speaking and writing English.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
