GENERAL JOB SUMMARY:
Kirkwood Community College is seeking an instructor in Agricultural Business. Under minimal supervision the instructor is responsible for fostering student learning in the areas of Agricultural Business Farm Management and Accounting within the Agricultural Sciences Department. A minimum course load of 15 credit hours per semester is required. Teaching load will be assigned by the Dean and may include evening courses as well as distance learning courses utilizing online or hybrid formats. Teaching responsibilities may include but are not limited to Farm Business Management Farm Records Employment Seminar Applied Ag Concepts and Professionalism in Agriculture. There is potential to teach some Precision Farming coursework. Individual must evaluate record and report student achievement and progress in assigned courses in accordance with department division and college policies and procedures. Responsibilities will also include advising Ag Business Club overseeing internships program recruitment program reporting and providing assistance in the development and implementation of departmental initiatives. Individual will be responsible for meeting the goals and objectives of an individual Professional Preparation Plan as outlined in the Colleges Quality Faculty Plan.
