Job Description

The award-winning Forbes 4-Star and AAA 5-DiamondWaldorf Astoria Monarch Beach Resort and Clubis looking for aBell Coordinator(Seasonal)to join the team!
Located in the beautiful coastal town of Dana Point adjacent to Laguna Beach this town played an iconic role in the emergence of Californias surf culture and today is celebrated for its laid-back vibe and fun active lifestyle.
The resort is perched on 175 acres atop a 150-foot seaside bluff with over 400 rooms 115000 square feet of indoor and outdoor meeting space and 8 food and Beverage outlets.This includes4 restaurants a beach club lounge marketplace and IRD.
Classification: Seasonal (June to first week of September)
Shift: Typically 10AM to 6:30PM or 11AM to 7:30PM depending on business needs must have availability to work weekends weekdays and holidays.
Pay Rate: $20 per hour plus tips.

What will I be doing
As a Bell Coordinator you would be responsible for the following duties:
Assist the Resort Guest Services bell team with response to in house communications as needed.Examples include follow up on guest requests dispatching bellperson team members and taking calls. - Assist in house guests with arrival and departure arrangements as needed ensuring various options are always provided to anticipate their needs. This may include dining transportation amenities and gift deliveries.
- Offer the highest level of personalized service while maintaining a positive enthusiastic helpful and professional attitude with all guests and team members
- Communicate efficiently and effectively with guests members and other team members in person and on the telephone. Ability to work well with other departments to deliver your guests requests is key to success in this role.
- Proficient computer skills that will ensure reservations will be made in a timely efficient and error free manner
- Respond and take ownership to all guest inquiries immediately. Handle guest complaints to the best of your ability.
- Keep accurate records of guest requests.
- Demonstrate extensive familiarization with resort features policies and procedures
- Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Assist guest with storing luggage.
- Ability to use office machines and posses basic computer skills.
- Maintain a clean safe stocked and well organized work area
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED);
- One to two years in guest services or concierge position preferred
- Good organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent reading writing and oral proficiency in the English language required. Ability to write simple correspondence and present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers clients and other employees of the organization.
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
