Job Description

Licensed Paramedic ProgressiveHealth of Indiana LLC Evansville IN

Are you an energetic and results-driven Paramedic looking to make a positive impact on workplace safety and health Join our team and support our on-site occupational health and wellness services in a large manufacturing facility in Evansville IN. Standard shift is 5am-1pm or 6am-2 pm Monday -Friday. No scheduled holidays or weekends.

What will you be doing in this role

  • Providing treatment as appropriate and within scope to employees for both work and non-work-related injuries or illnesses
  • Support the emergency response team by leading meetings conducting clinical education and ensuring worker safety

  • Manage disability and workers compensation claims acting as a liaison between employees HR and healthcare providers
  • Collaborate with early intervention specialists and conduct ergonomic assessments to minimize discomfort and injuries
  • Conduct OSHA surveillance testing such as hearing testing and respiratory fitness exam reviews
  • Manage ADA accommodation requests
  • Lead or participate in wellness activities such as health fairs and blood pressure checks
  • Keeping accurate detailed documentation related to injury reports treatment notes and evaluations
  • Other duties as assigned by manager

Our ideal candidate will have:

  • Active Paramedic licensure or ability to obtain licensure
  • CPR/AED certification or the ability to obtain it prior to start of employment; maintain and provide proof of current certification(s)
  • Basic knowledge of workers compensation and OSHA regulations preferred
  • The ability to stand walk and sit throughout entire assigned shift
  • Previous occupational health experience is a plus
  • A high degree of professionalism in both written and verbal communication
  • The ability to work both independently and in a team environment without constant supervision
  • Be able to maintain confidentiality
  • Strong computer skills including proficiency with databases and with Microsoft Office applications including Outlook Word PowerPoint and Excel
