Description

Job Purpose

The Senior Human Resources Manager is a key leadership position that develops and implements strategic HR programs and initiatives to support Rawhides organizational goals. This role is also a hands-on role responsible for enhancing HR practices developing and implementing leadership training programs driving employee engagement and employee relations efforts leading investigations and ensuring a culture of safety and continuous improvement. The position collaborates regularly with executive leadership and department heads to guide decision-making and implement best practices.

Essential Functions

  • Lead organizational safety initiatives workers compensation processes and OSHA compliance efforts/reporting.
  • Oversee employee relations and ensure consistent compliant and effective resolution practices.
  • Collaborate with executives and department leaders to design and deliver leadership and compliance training.
  • Maintain and improve Rawhides benefits programs leave management and onboarding/offboarding practices.
  • Analyze and execute strategies for employee engagement retention and succession planning.

Job Responsibilities

  • Develop coordinate and implement both required (regulatory) training and leadership development training programs to improve organizational capabilities.
  • Administer workplace safety and workers compensation programs including communication with employees medical providers and insurers. Ensure return-to-work and light duty programs are available as appropriate. Lead the Safety Committee efforts to improve organizational safety and OSHA compliance.
  • Conduct HR audits and maintain compliance with federal state and local employment laws and reporting requirements.
  • Lead resolution of employee relations issues through coaching progressive discipline oversight and legal consultation when needed. Conducts thorough and fair investigations ensuring compliance with all laws and regulations.
  • Monitor and analyze employee engagement and turnover trends; implement improvement strategies.
  • Serve as department lead for PQI (Performance Quality Improvement) processes and documentation.
  • Manage employee benefits enrollment open enrollment processes and vendor relationships. Collaborate with brokers to identify and implement cost saving programs.
  • Supervise leave of absence programs (FMLA ADA etc.) and ensure regulatory compliance.
  • Maintain HRIS records and prepare various reports for decision-making and planning.
  • Handle unemployment claims and serve as liaison for state and federal benefit programs.
  • Protect sensitive information and uphold the confidentiality of all HR records.

Qualifications

Qualifications

Education:
Bachelors degree in Human Resources Business Administration or a related field required.

Experience:
Minimum of 5 years of broad experience in Human Resources preferably in a leadership position.

Strong project management training development and facilitation and employee relations/engagement experience required.

Experience leading benefit administration efforts in a self-funded plan preferred.

Experience with safety programs and OSHA compliance preferred.

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Knowledge of federal and state employment laws FMLA OSHA and HRIS systems.
  • Strong organizational communication and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with executive leadership at all levels.
  • High attention to detail and discretion in handling confidential information.

Working Conditions

  • This role may require occasional lifting standing and travel as needed for job-related activities.
  • Standard business hours with some flexibility for organizational meetings or training events.
