The UVM Extension Maple Program delivers science-based assistance to improve outcomes in three major focus areas: Sugarbush Health and Management Sustainable High Yields of Sap/Syrup and Syrup Quality. The Maple Quality Specialist positions focuses on the syrup quality through processing samples in the Syrup Quality Testing Lab delivering results to maple producers and engaging in outreach activities to a broader maple audience. This position works in conjunction with the UVM Extension Maple Specialist to provide science-based testing of samples for the key attributes of Grade A pure maple syrup.

Other Information
FTE may be reduced to a .80 fully benefited position based on the applicants availability. This position will be based out of the Proctor Maple Research Center in Underhill Vermont.
