Job Description

Description

The Lean/FEM Coordinator drives process improvement within the facility by applying Lean principles and Facilities Excellence Mapping. This role focuses on identifying waste standardizing best practices and improving material and information flow. The coordinator manages the 5S program including monthly report-outs of progress and findings. The role supports training and cross-functional collaboration to enhance safety quality delivery and cost performance. The coordinator ensures alignment with operational goals and fosters a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

In a hands-on capacity champion implementation of process improvements / lean manufacturing concepts.
Map current and future state value streams across manufacturing sites.
Manage the 5S program and report out monthly.
Facilitate kaizen events.
Identify gaps in capability equipment and process consistency across facilities.
Train teams on Lean fundamentals and FEM principles.
Support implementation of Lean tools.
Collaborate with Supervisors Engineering Training Quality and Maintenance teams.
Document and report monthly progress to leadership.
Upkeep digital dashboards plant wide.

Skills and Experience:

3 years in manufacturing or operations environment.
Organized process-focused detail oriented.
Committed to driving accountability and excellence.
Proficient in Excel and PowerPoint.
Working knowledge of Lean manufacturing tools and concepts.
Proven success leading or participating in improvement projects.
Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
Experience with time studies and workflow analysis.
Ability to travel within U.S. to support manufacturing sites as needed.

Preferred Qualifications:

College degree (engineering or related discipline preferred) or equivalent experience.
Experience leading LEAN programs in a manufacturing environment.
Advanced computer and presentation skills.
Fundamental knowledge in project management.
Above average written and verbal English communication skills.
Self-motivated and demonstrate a positive approach to problem-solving.
Work independently efficiently and detail oriented.
Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or higher.
Experience in welding coating or assembly operations
Familiarity with training design and manufacturing process documentation.
