Overview:

Sentara is currently hiring a Patient Care Technician to work at Sentara Princess Anne Hospital located in Virginia Beach on the Medical/Surgical and Oncology Unit 4A.

Hours/Shift:

Full-time nightshift approximately 7pm to 7am

Overview

This units primary patient population is medical/surgical and oncology patients. You will receive special training on how to best care for the oncology patients. The longevity of staff on this unit proves that it is a great place to work!

Patient Care Technicians are unlicensed staff members who are accountable to and work under the direct supervision of a professional nurse to implement delegated aspects of nursing care. Provide patient care support the admissions and discharge process and comply with patient safety practices under the direction of the professional nurse. Observe patients physical mental and emotional conditions and report any change to the nurse.

Education
High School Diploma or Equivalent


Certification/Licensure

Experience
One year of prior health care experience preferred.
