Job Description
Work Schedule:
100% day shift. Monday Friday; Hours range 7:00 AM 5:00 PM. Hours may vary based on the operational need of the department. You will work at the Pharmacy Services Building in Middleton WI.

As a Pharmacy Technician Specialist you will:
- Help support our pharmacy services across the entire Madison area.
- Bring your passion for helping care for patients through diligently picking and preparing medications.

- High School Diploma or equivalent Required
- Completion of an accredited pharmacy technician training program Preferred
- 6 months experience as a pharmacy technician completion of accredited Pharmacy Technician Training Program or completion of second year of pharmacy school. Required
- Wisconsin Pharmacy Technician Registration Upon Hire Required
- Must have valid drivers license and must have a driving record that allows for the Health System insurance carrier to cover the incumbent. Upon Hire Required
- Certified Pharmacy Technician Preferred

UW Health Pharmacy Services Building a non-clinical location in Middleton that houses many Pharmacy professionals. These employees perform various services and duties including pharmacy administration pharmacy primary care services medication prior authorization sterile and non-sterile compounding unit dose packaging and specialty/mail service program.
