The Project

Two CIMIC Group companies UGL and CPB Contractors have been selected by Transgrid to deliver the 140km western section of the HumeLink high voltage electricity transmission project.

HumeLink is a new 500kV transmission project which will connect Wagga Wagga Maragle and Bannaby in regional NSW that will significantly increase the capacity of the electricity network in Australias eastern states. HumeLink is one of Australias largest energy infrastructure projects with about 365kms of proposed new transmission lines and a range of other new and upgraded infrastructure.

The HumeLink West scope of works worth $1.4bn includes delivery of new 500kV double circuit transmission lines spanning 140kms from Wagga Wagga Substation to a new Substation at Gugaa the Interface Point with HumeLink East near Gundagai and a new substation at Maragle in the Snowy Mountains for future connection to Snowy 2.0.

Your opportunity

• Assist in developing and managing project schedules ensuring adherence to timelines and milestones
• Support the management of project budgets including tracking expenses and allocating resources.
• Lead and direct a team of supervisors and workers providing guidance support and motivation.
• Facilitate clear and effective communication between team members and stakeholders ensuring alignment and collaboration.
• Oversee the execution of project tasks ensuring adherence to project plans procedures and safety standards.

Our minimum requirements for this role are:

• Proven supervisory experience in construction or infrastructure projects ideally in a senior or lead role.
• Strong leadership and communication skills to effectively manage teams subcontractors and site activities.
• Ability to read and understand project plans schedules and technical documentation.
• Solid understanding of workplace health and safety quality and environmental standards.
