Bunurong Land Council Aboriginal Corporation (BLCAC) is seeking a dedicated and professional Executive Assistant (EA) to support our CEO and Board of Directors. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the protection and preservation of Bunurong culture land and heritage while working within a values-driven organisation.

About Us

BLCAC is the Registered Aboriginal Party (RAP) representing the Bunurong people of the South-Eastern Kulin Nation. We advocate for cultural heritage land management and community empowerment. Our work spans across Greater Melbourne the Mornington Peninsula and the Bass Coast ensuring the voices and traditions of our ancestors continue to be recognised and respected.

Your Role

As the Executive Administrative Support Officer for the Cultural Heritage team youll play a central role in ensuring the smooth operation of our business unit. This position supports the Cultural Heritage Manager and CHO Team Leaders by providing high-level executive and project support across a broad range of administrative functions.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Manage calendars schedule meetings and coordinate appointments for the Cultural Heritage Manager and CHO Team Leaders.
  • Prepare and distribute agendas minutes reports presentations and professional correspondence.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential filing systems including version control and digital archiving.
  • Liaise with internal teams (e.g. HR Finance Operations) and external stakeholders to coordinate meetings workshops and follow-ups.
  • Organise travel accommodation onboarding activities and office logistics.
  • Support financial and administrative tasks including invoice processing credit card acquittals petty cash purchase orders and timesheet entry.
  • Assist with reporting data collection dashboard updates and internal documentation.
  • Ensure procedural compliance confidentiality and continuous improvement in administrative systems and templates.

What Were Looking For

  • We are seeking a motivated Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander applicant with the following:
  • Certificate IV or Diploma in a relevant field (e.g. social sciences humanities business administration) or equivalent experience.
  • Experience in administrative support executive assistance or project coordination.
  • Strong understanding of and experience working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities culture and history.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word Excel PowerPoint).
  • Exceptional organisation time management and communication skills.
  • Professionalism discretion and the ability to manage sensitive information appropriately.
  • A proactive adaptable and solutions-focused approach.
