Job Description

Memorial Plastic Surgery is seeking a full-time Medical Assistant for our office located in Webster/Clear Lake TX.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Provide patients surgical information and pre and post-operative patient care.
  • Maintain accurate clinical notes in EMR system prepare documents and consents send prescriptions and orders to patients for imaging tests and lab work to obtain surgical clearance.
  • Take professional before and after photos patient gallery.
  • Prepare and stock exam rooms maintain inventory and order supplies as needed.
  • Clean and sterilize instruments assist in in-office procedures as needed.
  • Assist front office with answering phones emails and providing patients information regarding procedures of interest.
  • Hold a high level of professionalism when interacting with patients clients and staff members.
  • Practice patient confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA guidelines and company policies.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned or requested.

Job Qualifications

  • Experience: Minimum 2 years working as a Medical Assistant; Current or previous experience working in a Cosmetic/Plastic Surgery/Dermatology Office highly preferred.
  • Education: High School diploma or equivalent required; Associates degree or higher preferred.
  • Certification/License: Certified Medical Assistant License highly preferred.
  • Bi-lingual in English and Spanish.

Skills:

  • Patient Liaison with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Attention to detail highly organized and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to gather information maintain records and practice confidentiality.
  • Working knowledge of Electronic Medical Records and computer application skills are required.
  • Bilingual in both English & Spanish highly preferred.
