Speech and Language Teaching Assistant Barking & Dagenham September Start

Key Responsibilities:
Act as a Speech and Language Teaching Assistant delivering 1:1 and small-group interventions.
Work closely with a Speech and Language Therapist to implement effective communication strategies.
Support SEND pupils in line with the curriculum while helping to manage classroom behaviour effectively.
Build strong communication channels with parents and staff ensuring consistent progress tracking.
Take an active role in pupil development as a Speech and Language Teaching Assistant focusing on improving outcomes in a school that is working to improve its Ofsted rating.
What Were Looking For:
A graduate from a top 20 UK University with a Science-based degree.
A qualified Speech and Language Teaching Assistant or someone with relevant experience working with speech and language needs.
Confident behaviour management skills and experience working within a large school setting.
Proactive creative and flexible approach to classroom challenges.
Team player with excellent communication skills and a desire to make a genuine difference.
A strong desire to progress in the field of speech and language therapy and education support.
