Job Description

Position Purpose: 

Responsible for procurement planning establishing sourcing schedules & monitoring CapEx procurement requirements for the applicable internal customers. Collaboration with business units to provide strategic sourcing direction. Key SCM contributor to the particular business units and groups assigned and will ensure the quality of the SCM services which includes responsibilities below.

Primary Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Preparation recommendation and execution of sourcing programs for internal customers.
  • Ensure compliance with company and division procurement policies & procedures.
  • Ensure proper use of Veolia Source to Pay and Procure to Pay tools.
  • Managing the supplier qualification and performance processes as well as monitor and report on compliance for contract/agreement utilization. May include travel to potential suppliers.
  • Responsible for managing sourcing plans with the internal customer and SCM Director. This will entail the scheduling of the procurement cycle for CapEx projects and other spend on a short-term (i.e. quarterly) and longer term (i.e. yearly or multi-year) basis.
  • Review and analyze vendor relationships to determine where contracts should be issued to protect the interests of Veolia and its stakeholders work with the SCM Director as applicable.
  • Investigate pursue and generate cost reduction opportunities and contribute to SCMs annual goals of achieving cost reductions/savings.
  • Initiate and concurrently manage multiple bid processes for CapEx projects. The individual at this level position has achieved a significant amount of experience in a procurement and contracts processing environment and can effectively manage the more complex projects.
  • Formulate bid analysis results and make vendor recommendations. Work with multiple sites where applicable to reach the best value solution.
  • Initiate and manage price and contract negotiations with various types of service and equipment vendors.
  • Promote SCM policies at all existing locations and assist in implementation of SCM policies and procedures for use at newly contracted sites.
  • Assists in improving service/support to the internal customers.
  • Studies market prices and trends engineering developments and manufacturing method improvements applicable to assigned responsibilities and advises company activities with concurrence of SCM Director.
  • Coordinates as appropriate quality matters and engineering changes/developments between company activities and suppliers.
  • Visits to assigned locations to meet with key business partners.
  • Source products and services from other suppliers as necessary to ensure the lowest cost best quality and on-time delivery within framework of efficiently utilizing suppliers capacities.
  • Performs other related duties as required.

Qualifications :

Education/Experience/Background:

  • High school diploma/GED. Bachelors degree preferred with an emphasis in business administration economics and/or engineering.
  • Five (5) years of progressively responsible Supply Chain Management/Procurement experience.
  • Experience working with Legal/Engineering/Ops Departments/Corporate Service Centers in developing and completing agreements.
  • Sourcing experience preferred.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

  • Critical thinking and troubleshooting skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Commitment to excellence.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Positive attitude and a team player.
  • Good working experience with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong negotiation skills desired.

Physical Requirements:

  • Hybrid remote/office environment.
  • Occasional travel.


Additional Information :

Pay Rate: $90000 to a maximum of $115000 Per Year.
