Job Title: Shipping and Receiving Clerk
Department: Warehouse/Logistics
Job Type: Full-Time
The Shipping and Receiving Clerk is responsible for managing incoming and outgoing shipments ensuring inventory accuracy and maintaining a clean and organized warehouse. This role requires attention to detail organizational skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Receive inspect and verify incoming shipments against purchase orders and delivery documentation
Prepare and pack outgoing shipments including labeling and documentation
Load and unload delivery trucks using forklifts or pallet jacks as needed
Record shipment data such as weight charges and damages
Maintain accurate inventory records and notify management of shortages or damages
Coordinate with carriers and vendors for timely pickups and deliveries
Ensure all products are stored in the correct location in the warehouse
Operate warehouse equipment safely and in compliance with company policies
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the shipping and receiving area
Follow safety protocols and report any incidents or equipment issues
High school diploma or GED required
Previous experience in shipping receiving or warehouse operations preferred
Familiarity with inventory software shipping systems or handheld scanners
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand/walk for extended periods
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Good communication and organizational skills
Ability to work independently or as part of a team
Warehouse environment with varying temperatures
May require overtime or weekend shifts during peak periods
Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) as required
Full-Time
