Exciting positions for postdoctoral fellows or research specialists in chemistry or in molecular biology/ biochemistry at the PhD level are currently available at the University of Maryland Baltimore in the Department of Diagnostic Radiology and Nuclear Medicine. For chemistry skill with small molecule design construction and characterization is desirable. Expertise in adding functional groups and in radiolabeling is advantageous for small molecules and nanoparticles. For molecular biology techniques such as cloning virus design and construction and gene expression in vitro and in vivo is needed. Expertise in stem cells and immune cells is desirable including with CAR T or NK cells. Familiarity with FACS is desirable. Ability to characterize and test these including in animal models is advantageous. Other skills of interest include familiarity with working with small animals as well as imaging such as with PET MR and optical imaging. The candidates will have the opportunity to work with others and independently. The candidate will be responsible for literature analysis; experimental design execution and analysis; manuscript writing and submission; and assistance with grants. Strong communication skills and ability to work with internal and external collaborators will enhance success.
