Job Description
What will you be doing
Were on the lookout for hands-on solutions-driven engineers to join an exciting manufacturing efficiency project based in Bedlington. This is your chance to play a pivotal role in improving productivity and performance across key areas of a high-tech electronics manufacturing site. If youre passionate about making real impact on the shop floor we want to hear from you.
Your main responsibilities will be:
- Drive improvements in manufacturing equipment performance and production yield
- Use data-led analysis to identify and resolve inefficiencies in process and equipment
- Support continuous improvement initiatives using structured problem-solving tools (e.g. A3 thinking)
- Troubleshoot machinery issues and work closely with technicians to implement solutions
- Collaborate with engineering and production teams to embed sustainable improvements
- Take ownership of key challenges and drive change with minimal supervision
Who are we looking for
- A background in Mechanical or Process Engineering
- At least 4 years experience in a manufacturing setting (flexible for exceptional junior talent)
- Strong understanding of electronic component manufacturing is highly desirable
- Experience improving yield performance or operational efficiency
- Comfortable working directly with machines and solving hands-on production issues
- Knowledge of die bonding or wire bonding would be a big bonus
- Confident working independently and leading improvement activities on-site

Qualifications :
Experience skills and qualifications required:
- Degree or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering Process Engineering or related field
- Analytical mindset with a practical proactive approach to problem solvin
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to adapt quickly in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
