THE ROLE & THE TEAM
Partner Tech is one of the core organisations within Zalando. We ensure that the partner has the right tooling and insights in place to steer their business - be it wholesale partner program or connected retailing - in an efficient manner.
In our Tech Foundations department we ensure that the machine room is always running. We provide the infrastructure for our partner portal api and integrations partner self service access management and security and much more.
As an Engineering Manager for our Partner team you will join us in Berlin and own the systems and services which ensure that our users have a safe and secure environment. You will work with different teams across Zalando to build our Partner Educational System and our Communication Platform for all Zalando Partners.
Together with our Tech Foundation Leadership you will work on the future strategy and vision for our partner platform.

Experience in Educational Software and communication services (preferably with Contenful Amazon SES) Extensive experience in object-oriented and/or functional programming languages with a profound knowledge of REST APIs and highly distributed scalable and resilient microservice environment Significant experience leading and developing cross-functional engineering teams within an international agile environment Always optimizing for creating maximum business value - you are capable of making your teams accountable and responsible for the decisions made by providing a strong sense of ownership and a data-driven mindset with a strong understanding of core priorities and KPIs. You have effective communication skills in English with an ability to understand and translate business and user requirements across teams You think creatively are solution oriented adaptable to change and have a drive for continuous innovation Responsible for maintaining trustful relationship with your teams leading them and setting a high standard as an example If you think you have what it takes we encourage you to apply even if you dont meet every single requirement.
