AS A MECHANICAL ENGINEER AT CARD-MONROE

You will play a pivotal role in leading the development and procurement of machine specifications ensuring that every detail meets our standards of excellence. Your responsibilities will include creating comprehensive Bill of Materials and final specifications while designing intricate parts and assemblies using advanced 3D CAD software. In addition you will compile machine-specific documentation packages for customer use providing essential support to enhance user experience. This position will also see you taking on a leadership role applying your project management expertise to the assembly process of tufting machines.

What were looking for in a Mechanical Engineer

To thrive as a Full-Time Mechanical Engineer at Card-Monroe Corp. candidates should possess a Mechanical Engineering degree although relevant experience in a metalworking environment is also valued. Successful applicants will demonstrate strong leadership capabilities functioning effectively as both a team leader and a collaborative team member. Familiarity with standard practices for mechanical documentation is crucial along with a comprehensive understanding of machine shop practices tolerances and fits. Knowledge of Lean concepts will be beneficial in enhancing operational efficiency. Proficiency in PTC Creo 3D modeling software and PTC Windchill PDM is essential for executing design tasks and managing product data effectively.

Additionally prior experience with an ERP system will aid in streamlining processes and ensuring accurate project tracking. If you have a passion for innovation and problem-solving in a dynamic manufacturing environment this position is perfect for you!

Knowledge and skills required for the position are:

  • Mechanical Engineering degree preferred - previous experiences considered
  • Knowledge and / or experience in a metal-working type environment
  • Able to function as a team leader or team member
  • Possess knowledge of standard practices for mechanical documentation
  • Have knowledge of standard machine shop practices tolerances and fits
  • Have knowledge of and / or experience with using the concepts of Lean manufacturing
  • Proficient in the use of PTC Creo 3D modeling software and PTC Windchill PDM
  • Experience with an ERP system
