We are YSS!
YSS is looking for an analytical and solution-orientedGrants Billing Specialist.In this role youll play a pivotal role in ensuring the financial integrity of our mission-driven work. Your expertise will help turn grant and contract funding into real-world impact by ensuring every dollar is billed accurately spent responsibly and aligned with funder expectations.
In this key position youll collaborate closely with Finance Program Leadership and the Grant Writer to:
- Oversee grant and contract billing across multiple program areas
- Monitor spending to ensure alignment with funder guidelines and internal financial controls
- Prepare timely and accurate financial reports reconciliations and audit-ready documentation
- Support budget tracking grant close-out processes and ongoing financial compliance
- Help maintain full compliance with federal state and local regulations
- Foster a culture of accountability transparency and alignment with our mission

Required Qualifications: You MUST HAVE
- A Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance.
- Youve got at least 2 yearof accounting experience(grant/contract management experience strongly preferred).
Preferred Qualifications:You are
- Proficient in Advanced Excel with the ability to navigate databases and accounting software with ease.
- Well-versed in grant compliance including reporting requirements and budget management.
- Exceptionally detail-oriented with a proven track record of meeting high-stakes deadlines.
- Strong and confident in communication able to convey complex information clearly and effectively.
- Team-oriented and proactive with a passion for collaboration and a mindset of continuous improvement.
- Capable and dependable able to make timely decisions and manage multiple responsibilities especially under pressure.
