Service Center Manager (Valve & Hydrant Services) is responsible for achieving and maintaining profitability of a Xylem service center through the management of safety people leadership project management daily operations and delivery of exceptional customer service for Wachs Water Services projects. 11 direct reports plus 15 third-party laborers.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES: To perform the job successfully an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

Daily Operations

• Manage labor maintenance and repair costs while maintaining safety and service quality.
• Maintain flexible efficient and effectiveworkflowsand systems to reach financial and operational excellence. Contribute to the development and deployment of systemic improvements to enhance the safety qualitycapacityand capability of business processes within the service branch. Execute continuous improvement opportunities using six sigma and lean methodologies to achieve business goals.
• Coordinate equipment requirements and facility needs for efficient operation (managing purchase orders and invoices) while meeting financial performance targets.
• Utilize Net Promoter Score to identify opportunities for improving customer satisfaction and enhancing the customer experience. Collaborate with marketing and sales teams to recognize areas of customer dissatisfaction and develop plans to improve.
• Ensure compliance of localstateand federal laws and regulation (EPA OSHA DOT ADA and EEOC). Satisfy customer corporate and contractual reportingrequirementsand needs.

People Leadership

• Ensure the maintenance of a hazard-free and safe operating work as a role model and set a positive example for the entire team in all aspects of business and human resource management.
• Promote and encourage a culture of teamwork employing best practices that benefit all employees.
• Continuously coach and develop the skills and knowledge of all employees and model Xylems Core Values of: Respect Responsibility Integrity and Creativity.
• Assess employee performance based on clearly communicated expectations and hold employees accountable for performance.

Project Management

• Deliver excellent customer experiences through partnership communication and project support.
• Manage all aspects of the project to ensure safety performance and profitability requirements are met.
• Prepare and present regular reports on project performance

• Safety Score Card (IFR/ISR)
• Project Sales
• Operating Income
• Customer Service (Net Promoter Score)
• Participation in Xylem Watermark volunteer activities

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelors degree in business technology operations management or related field or equivalent work experience is required.
• Strong safety background
• A minimum of five years of industrial and/or relatable leadership experience within a complex industrial or operations environment.
• Minimum of three years previous business management experience including direct P&L responsibility.
• Three to five years of experience in related field of valves hydrants external leak detection water distribution systems or construction preferred.
• Strong management skills including the ability to make decisions with minimal supervision strengths in goal setting delegation coaching and motivating
• Highly developed managementorganizationand communication skills
• Successful track record in managing budgets and/or P&L responsibility.
• General knowledge of the operation and maintenance of a facility.
• Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing.
• Demonstrated technical and project management skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office products standard asset tracking systems/software Geographic Information System (GIS) Proven MAP reading and understanding of As-Built Drawings and the use of other computer applications
• Water Distribution System experience and or Water Distribution Operators License within current state (or ability to gain through reciprocity); Traffic Control Certification
• Safe driving record and ability to pass and maintain a DOT physical background check and drug screening.

DAY IN THE LIFE:

• Safely operate a company provided vehicle
• Travel: As required to fulfill the duties listed above. Other travel as needed or required by the company.
• Job Site: Intermittent exposure to job site conditions and hazards; e.g. Water distribution systems high traffic and residential areas construction sites water treatment plants wastewater treatment plants etc.
• Shop: Regular exposure to all outdoor weather conditions; intermittent exposure to shop and job site noise.
• Moderate standing walking bending and lifting up to 75 lbs.
• Office: Standard office equipment; work usually performed in an office setting free from any disagreeable elements.

Job postings will include a wide salary range with each roles pay falling within that range. The starting salary is based on factors such as skills experience location and market conditions. The estimated salary range is between $107100 - $135000
