The AUKUS Submarines and Industrial Base Group (ASIG) within the Sea Land Air Division provides timely objective analytic assessments that integrate technical operational programmatic policy and business analysis to NAVSEA Team Submarine program offices and key stakeholders surrounding submarine platform construction. Team Submarine unifies submarine platform procurement activities which includes the Columbia-class SSBN program (a Major Defense Acquisition Program and the Navys top acquisition priority) the Virginia-class SSN program and the new SSN-X program (developing the next generation attack submarine) to bring improved capabilities to our undersea forces. Analysts and Engineers supporting Team Submarine will continue SPAs decades of support to the SSBN force as well as supporting oversight of cutting-edge attack submarine construction assisting in developing the design requirements for the SSN platform of the future and helping plan and execute new and innovative strategies to strengthen the critical submarine shipbuilding industrial base. These are high-profile major acquisition and manufacturing programs of significant importance to the future capabilities of the US Navy in an era of renewed strategic competition.
The Submarine Learning Center Liaison will coordinate with all sections of the Submarine Learning Center (SLC). The SLC will be staffing and setting the standards for the Nuclear Submarine Training Centre (NSTC) and this person will work with N1 N5 N7 N9 the ED and the eight other schools to ensure effective coordination for personnel at the NSTC. Additionally this analyst will work as an Acquisition Program Manager for Combat Control and Navigation Systems training devices. This position will track the production progress shipping and installation plans for all training devices under the their cognizance. The analyst will facilitate weekly meetings with UWS TR (the Submarine Training System Program Office) warfare centers and contract support to stay up to date on the status of both finances and production status for their devices. The analyst will work with PARMS or others to help alleviate any issues the organizations are having with production of the training devices.
