Job Summary

The National Board Resource Center at Illinois State University () is funded by the Illinois State Board of Education and designed to oversee and manage the Illinois Master Teachers support program. This position oversees the Centers operations.

The work of the selected candidate will focus on project management business operations supervision and lobbying and advocating for the needs of the center National Board Certified Teachers candidates and educators/school counselors.

Salary Rate / Pay Rate

$95000 - $105000

Qualifications

1. Masters degree and current National Board Certification.
2. Five years teaching in K-12 schools; and/or an equivalent combination of experience training and/or education.
3. Strong interpersonal time management personnel management quality assurance and grant-writing skills.
4. Experience in managing budgets invoicing and contracts
5. Thorough knowledge of National Board certification NBPTS Standards and Core Propositions.
6. Skill in coordinating multiple events and projects evaluating data and establishing priorities.
7. Excellent presentation skills with groups of varying size from 15 to 150.
8. Skill in program development and execution.
9. Ability to organize and maintain accurate database and/or records.
10. Ability to meet deadlines and work in fast-paced environment
9. Ability to travel.
10. Valid drivers license

Work Hours

A fast-paced productive office environment where work demands may extend beyond traditional hours of operation of 8am-4:30pm M-F.

Functional Expectations

Must be able to complete the following with or without a reasonable accommodation:
1. Remain at a workstation for extended periods
2. Move about in various locations on and off campus as needed to complete day-to-day work
3. Effectively communicate on a daily basis
