Salary:31074 - 33294 for Newly Qualified Social Workers 34350 to 37950 for Level 2 Social Workers 38700 to 41373 plus 3300 market premia payment for Level 3 Social Workers

Here at Leicestershire County Council we have exciting opportunities available to Newly Qualified Social Workers as well as experienced Level 2 and Level 3 Social Workers with a passion for working in collaboration with people facing a wide range of issues.

About the Role

We are now delighted to be able to offer vacancies within the following teams:

  • Mental Health Hospital Team (fixed term until 31/03/26 37 hours per week)
  • Mental Health Hospital Team (2 permanent vacancies 37 hours per week)
  • Assertive Inreach (fixed term until 31/03/26 37 hours per week)

Our Teams

The Mental Health Hospitals Teamsupports the residents of Leicestershire and Rutland. Working alongside health partners to ensure that the patient receives a safe person centred and coordinated will be required to visit in-patients at Mental Health Hospitals.

The Assertive Inreach Teamis a new service funded by Better Care. Assertive Inreach assist hospital patients with mental health difficulties to maintain their finances during an in-patient stay link to community resources and ensure that they are ready for discharge. You will be required to visit in-patients at the Bradgate Hospital and other wards linked with the hospital around the county.

Assertive Inreach work with individuals that are resident in City County and Rutland.

We are looking for:

  • Newly Qualified Social Workers: 31074 to 33294
  • Level 2 Social Worker:34350 to 37950
  • Level 3 Social Worker:38700 to 41373 plus market supplement of 3300 (42000 to 44673)

All our teams are friendly and supportive with regular supervision and our employees have manageable workloads. The teams hold weekly Group Supervision Meetings to promote the best possible outcomes for the people we work with across Leicestershire. We provide a comprehensive induction package with ongoing access to bespoke learning and development opportunities. This includes tailored continuous professional development sessions and access to academic research and practice expertise to develop skills experience and inform our employees practice.
