Compensation:
Pay Range: $17.10- $27.80/ hour

Job Description:

As a designated member of the transplant team to assist patients and their families in obtaining the financial resources associated with transplantation. To facilitate access to the continuum of care. To accurately assess insurance benefits and counsel patient and family as to the financial implications of transplantation. To serve as the primary contact between patient and insurance company. To interact with members of the transplant team in order to minimize the burden on the patient/insured as well as maximize reimbursement to UAB Hospital and affiliate providers. To collaborate with other departments to secure any necessary authorizations required for the transplant process.

Associates degree in Business Healthcare Management or a related field and two (2) years of related experience required. Work experience may substitute for education requirement.
